These steps before laundering are more likely to reduce the chance that a stain will be present after the wash. Always line dry.

- Always rinse any mess with cold water as soon as it happens.
- If still visible, apply a little dish soap to the remaining residue. Then, gently work that residue out.
- After trying cold water, if you still see an oil residue, switch to hot water.

Mother Oxford is designed to be mess and spill-friendly, and easier to care for than your standard button down. It doesn't mean stain proof (there are no absolutes in life!) - but with proper care, will stay cleaner, longer.
